PELS Service Project

Toiletry Drive to Benefit Those Suffering from Abuse & Domestic Violence.

  • Every year at PELS all participating clubs conduct a service project to benefit local organizations.
  • Our cause this year is JBWS.  Their Mission is the prevention of domestic violence and the education of the public about domestic violence and its consequences.
  • We are asking each club to contribute toiletry items, including shampoo, hygiene products, paper products, body wash, razors and more.  Bring your items to PELS.  They will be consolidated with the other club donations and delivered to JBWS on Saturday afternoon.

Bounce for the Foundation is a fun way to raise money for our Rotary Foundation. Each District's competitors will be inside the giant inflatable Zorb balls trying to knock the other Districts' competitors out of the ring.  Watch this video (click link) to see a recent Rotary "Bounce fundraiser" competition!

Bounce for the Foundation will take place at MNE PELS 2025 on Friday evening, March 21, following dinner.  Clubs and Rotarians can Donate to The Rotary Foundation's Annual Fund - SHARE to show their support for your District's team.  Support your President-Elect with a $100 donation (or more)!

The most fast and convenient way to donate for individual Members and Clubs is to donate online with a credit or debit card.  Donations are to the Annual Fund so you will earn credit and Paul Harris points toward your annual goals and helps to build funding for future grants in your District.  Any amount from $25 and up counts and is appreciated.  It will only take about 2-3 minutes. (Less time than it takes to read the instructions!)

  • Sign in to my.rotary.org to ensure credit for you and your club
  • Click on the ‘Donate’ button in the upper right.
  • Choose ‘Annual Fund – SHARE’
  • Click ‘I would like to make this donation in honor of someone’
  • Choose ‘In honor of’ and enter your District number in the ‘Name of honoree’
  • Enter Bounce4theFoundation@gmail.com in the ‘Recipient’s email address’
  • Enter your name and your Club in the ‘Name of donor’ box.
  • If you're a Club Officer making a donation on behalf of your Club or its memberschoose ‘Donate from Club’ or ‘Donate from Members,’ which will automatically open a list of all of your Active and Honorary Members. Click here for easy step-by-step instructions for How to Donate to TRF on Behalf of your Club or Members.
  • Complete the remainder of the form (which will autofill your personal information if you signed in to My.Rotary.org) and add your credit/debit card information.
  • NOTE: Donations by mail will only be included in this fundraiser if received and recorded by TRF before March 20 (which could, in some cases, require mailing well before March 10).
RI President Nominee Mario Cesar Martins de Camargo
Keynote Speaker at 2024 Mid-North-East PELS

Mid-Northeast Presidents-Elect Learning Seminar (PELS) is a premier learning event for Rotary President-Elects and Assistant Governors.  Mid-Northeast PELS provides required knowledge to serve as Club President, or Assistant Governor as well as inspiration and motivation.  Mid-Northeast PELS is a 6-District, 300+ clubs learning event, with the atmosphere of a mini-Rotary International convention.  As we emerge from the pandemic, the 2025 PELS will continue to be the in-person event it was in 2022, 2023 and 2024.  Our speakers, District Governors-Elect, educators, committee, and discussion leaders all have one thought in mind:  equip and excite Club Presidents-Elect and Assistant Governors for their year of service.  As we draw closer to the event, please be sure to review the detailed agenda, district profiles, and speaker bios on the main menu (they will be regularly updated - starting about December 2024)
A great experience is being planned for you. Mid-Northeast PELS – a partnership of five Rotary districts and one non-districted area – will be your first opportunity as a President-Elect or Assistant Governor to network and share fellowship with other PE's and AGs outside your district and to learn from some of Rotary's prominent leaders.  You will gain practical information to prepare you for your year as a Rotary Club President or Assistant Governor.

PELS trainers are developing a curriculum based on years of experience and feedback from the previous attendees. That experience tells us Club Presidents-Elect and first-time Assistant Governors often feel some trepidation about handling their new role. Surveys tell us that after attending PELS, confidence levels and readiness top 95%. This year will be no different.

You will be inspired!

Use this website to prepare for your PELS experience but also use it afterwards as a resource as you travel through your Rotary year. We are here to help you. If you have any questions, ask your District Governor-Elect. They will be glad to assist you or refer you to an appropriate PELS committee member.

We are looking forward to seeing you in-person at PELS, at the Hanover Marriott in Whippany, NJ on the evening of Thursday 20 March 2025 through lunch on Saturday 22 March 2025.
