One of Pamela Greene’s finest Rotary moments occurred in 2015 when she placed two drops of polio vaccine into the mouth of a small child in West Africa as part of a Rotary National Immunization Day (NID).Others include serving as a host family for two children receiving life-saving heart surgery through Gift of Life, hosting visiting Rotarians from Puerto Rico, Brazil and Sweden and participating in a Friendship Exchange with The Royden Revolve Rotary Club in the UK.
Both Pam and her husband, Michael Dawidziak, are past Presidents of the Rotary Club of Sayville and have also been past Assistant District Governors.
In 2007, the couple founded The Rollstone Foundation, an all-volunteer 501c3 that raises funds to provide grants to families adopting orphans with special needs or who are at risk. To date, the Foundation has raised almost 2 million dollars and aided in the adoption of over 700 orphans from 39 Countries being adopted by families in 47 States in the United States.
Pam has worked for over 40 years in public service, both as an elected official and as an attorney in various levels of government. She currently serves as an Assistant Town Attorney for the Town of Babylon.
Mike and Pam are parents to 3 children, Erin, Katie and Mark, have15 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. They are active parishioners at Our Lady of the Snow Roman Catholic Church in Blue Point.
While many Bible quotes speak to service, one Pam especially ascribes to is “Each of you should use whatever gifts you have received to serve others as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms”. (1 Peter 4:10)
