Michele Camilleri joined Rotary eight years ago. She was a new business owner and was looking for ways to network and give back to the community that had supported her. She has served as President of the Amityville Rotary Club. With the club she has worked on food drives, book drives and contributed to many other projects. She created the Bows on Broadway project, where red, white and blue bows are placed in the village center to commemorate Memorial day through the fourth of July and Pink Bows are put up in October for Breast Cancer Awareness. She is the Interact Liaison at Amityville High School. Michele has worked to end the stigma associated with mental health issues in teens. She created the Mental Health Awareness Art Contest, a way for teens to express themselves through their artwork.

She has served as President, Parliamentarian, and Treasurer of the New York State Organization of Mothers of Twins Clubs and has hosted three state conventions plus a national convention for Multiples of America where she was a board member.
