Steve Laubach is a Charter Member of the Highland Rotary, joining in 1984 and serving as its third President in 1986-87. He has held the presidency five additional times (2005, 2006, 2014, 2023, 2024), leading the club in launching impactful initiatives such as the Hudson Valley Ribfest, a community book project, Junior Achievement at Highland Elementary, police vehicle cameras, AED devices, and a water project in El Salvador. Steve encourages members to leverage their talents and passions for community service. At the district level, he served as Assistant Governor (2011-13), District Secretary (2013-14), and District Conference Chair for multiple years.
Steve retired in 2023 from a 42-year insurance career. Steve’s community involvement includes serving on the Town of Lloyd Police Reform Committee, Board of Ethics, Street Safety Committee, and as Treasurer of the Highland Business Association. He also coached youth baseball. Steve and his wife Debbie have three grown children and two grandchildren. In his free time, he enjoys golf and baseball.
